What if I were good enough?

I wish that we could all be happy to be ourselves without worrying so much what others think of us.
How much time and energy do we waste in comparing ourselves and wondering how we look to others?
How much happier would we be if we could recognise our strengths as clearly as we’re aware of our weaknesses?
I know when something’s right for me because I feel my heart sing. When I let myself be guided by the way I feel, rather than the balance of opinions around me, I find peace.
My life purpose is to be true to myself, to allow myself to be me.

What if I were good enough?
I'd allow myself just to be
I wouldn't have to run around
I'd sit here being me
What if I were good enough?
If I knew it to be true
I wouldn't care with what they think
I'd do what I wanted to do
What if I were good enough?
You'd be good enough too.
I wouldn't want to criticise
Or judge the things you do.
What if I were tall enough, strong enough, pretty enough, funny enough, clever enough, rich enough, brave enough, kind enough?
Maybe then, I could love me like You do.
